There are many different types of business acquisition, the main ones being:

• Management Buy Out – where existing employees purchase the business
• Management Buy In – where unrelated individuals purchase the business
• Trade Purchase – where an existing business purchase the businesses

Business purchases can be complicated but we have the experience and track record to help. The structure of the deal is key.  Lenders will want to know the answers to some of the following questions:

• How has the valuation been arrived at?
• How much cash is being contributed by the purchaser?
• Is the seller leaving any risk capital in the business by way of deferred consideration?
• Are there any assets within the business that can be utilised as security?

A Cashflow Loan will often make up the balance of the purchase, structured over a term of up to 5 years, with repayment coming from trading profits. Other business assets will also be considered and utilised where appropriate. Acceptable customer types include:  Sole Trader, Partnership, Limited Company (Ltd) or Limited Liability Partnership (LLP).
